City Tavern the Poshoorn is a cosy city tavern with eleven bedrooms, established in one of the oldest houses of Maastricht. Our rooms are of different sizes and are available for all kinds of groups. Whether you’re alone, with a loved one, with the entire family or with a big group of friends, City Tavern the Poshoorn has room for you!

Wyck Maastricht
Our city tavern is located centrally and ideally in Maastricht. City Tavern the Poshoorn is only a five-minute walk away from Maastricht Central Station and only a ten-minute walk away from the most famous square in the Netherlands: Vrijthof.
Pub
At Pub the Poshoorn, on the ground floor of our City Tavern, our hotel guests can start their day off right. You’re also more than welcome to enjoy our pub’s delicious lunches, drinks and lavish dinners.
Our rooms
Obviously, all beds are neatly made and we provide you with soft towels. In our bathrooms, you can find hand soap, shampoo/shower gel, toilet paper, tissues and hygiene bags.

Double room
Our more spacious, luxury double room. This bed also consists of two individual parts, which can easily be pushed together or apart. Space around the bed provides room for a baby’s cot if desired. We offer you this baby’s cot for free. In the room, there’s also a sitting area where you can unwind and relax.
Extra informatie: all of our rooms are provided with their own bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin. They also have a television and free Wi-Fi, as well as hand soap, shower gel, tissues and, of course, fresh towels every day.
All of our rooms are accessible via stairs. Since we are established in a monumental house, we do not have a lift. Two of our eleven rooms are accessible via steep stairs. Should this be a problem for you, please do not hesitate to tell us when you book your room, so we can take it into account.
Facilities
Check in and check out
You can check in at 15:00. Should you arrive earlier and should you already want to go into town, you are free to leave your luggage with us. Before checking in, you are obviously more than welcome to enjoy some food and drinks in our pub. You can check out from 09:00 until 10:30. Should you want to leave earlier, you can leave the keys in the letterbox intended for it. After checking out, you can also leave your luggage with us, should you still want to visit town.
By Bike?
Our municipality has build a brand new bicycle storage, this is secured and has a service point. The first 24hrs are for free, from the 2nd day the rate is €1,25 per day.
Parking and ease of access
City Tavern the Poshoorn does not have parking facilities. We advise you to park at Q-park de Colonel, where you will pay €16 per 24 hours. You can also park right outside the Poshoorn, but only for a maximum of 2 hours at €2.90 per hour, which is rather expensive. Q-park de Colonel is close to Maastricht Central Station, which is only a five-minute walk from the Poshoorn.
Breakfast
Our pub is open for breakfast every day from 09:00 till 12:00. Hotel guests can enjoy a choice of breakfast, including juice and two coffee or tea, for the price of €18.50 per person.
Smoking
Smoking is prohibited in our hotel rooms. People who don’t comply, will be fined €50.
No elevator
Due to the fact that this is a monumental building we cannot install an elevator for you unfortunately. Some rooms are only accessible via quit a steep staircase. If this is a problem for you please let us know so we can try and assign a different room.
Extra service
We can freely offer you a baby’s cot. Should you like to use this service, please inform us in time, since not all rooms are spacious enough to accommodate a baby’s cot.
Pets
For hygienic reasons, pets are not allowed in the Poshoorn.
Tourist tax
Tourist tax amounts to €3.50 per person per night.

While booking, we ask for our guests’ credit-card information. This information only serves as a booking guarantee and will not be used for any other purposes.
